Dear Competitors
Our second year back & we consider it a great success with over 94 teams racing with us throughout the season, with the pinnacle being the British 24hr with 77 teams racing at one of our best ever events, the atmosphere was out of this world !

EUROPEAN PRO-KART ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP (EPEC)

Teesside Karting
(Home of karting in the North East)

Teesside karting has organised a European Pro Kart Endurance Championship, offering affordable wheel to wheel racing using a variety of circuits throughout the UK and the fabulous Alain Prost Circuit in Le Mans.

We intend, with season 2011 to make the racing more competitive by introducing a slightly changed class structure, which will allow all teams to compete overall.

PRO-CLASS - Works or professionally run teams. At the pinnacle of pro-karting with selected engines. Any team that finished in the top 6 and winners of Clubmans Class 2010, will automatically be considered pro-class for next season This top pro-kart racing should be even more challenging.
CLUBMANS - Traditionally for the self run teams.

SUB - CATERGORIES
MASTERS - All drivers 40 years of age or over. Minimum 3 drivers per event.
HEAVY CLASS - 195kilo weight limit - minimum 3 drivers per event.
RACE HIRE - As well as scoring in The Clubmans Class, Race Hires will run
in their own class for a trophy, with a new engine category optimised cam-timing & volumised.
NUMBER PLATES
PRO - Visible numbers in line with your decal both front & rear.
CLUBMANS - White on black front & rear
MASTERS - As per category
HEAVY - As per category with a white line under number front & rear
RACE HIRES - As per category
TYRES - Only Bridgestone YDS controlled tyres at any event - NO WETS
CHAMPIONSHIP TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
Kelvin Nicholls (Scrutineer)
Well known, has used his expertise to draw up technical regulations that will compliment the racing, ensuring an equal playing field for all competitors.
SPORTING REGULATIONS
Paul Beatty (Clerk of Course)
With years of experience Paul will provide a fair handed approach and common sense attitude to racing.
RACE MANAGEMENT & PROMOTION
Bob Pope & Teesside Team Together they will bring over 25 years of experience to ensure a fair & value for money championship, with seamless administration & support.
