SG Petch Round 6
S G Petch Championship
Teesside Autodrome hosts the return of the SG Petch Championship this Sunday with the penultimate rounds. With each class tightly contested this will make the final rounds very interesting, with everything to race for! This round takes place on the national track with long bends, hairpins and chicanes all helping to make for an entertaining round.
There are currently 25 drivers entered in the heavyweight class and current leader Cameron McLean takes a 51 point lead (current non-adjusted total 878) over current second place Liam Silkstone (827) into the race. Jamie Henderson remains in third with 779 points with Chris Cutler close behind on 710 points.
The Lightweight class has Adam Delmont at top spot with 705 points with Owen Burton hot on his heels at 701 points. Ben Thornton is close behind the top two on 687 points. The rest of the pack are all closing in and after point adjustments are made, any of the top 8 could look to steal third position.
In the Rookie Class, Aaron Hubery will want to extend his lead at the top of the table over current second place Anthony Leather. We’re sure Anthony will be looking for a good race to try and keep on the heels of Aaron, he’ll also be trying to distance the gap between himself and Matthew Cossins in third place.
With every point vital as we enter the penultimate round, we look forward to a day of exciting racing. The SG Petch Championship is FREE for spectators, so why not come along, watch and also enjoy our café which will be open, serving both food and drink!
